Savon Dow (BCPO) HACKENSACK - A Teaneck man facing 20 years in prison for the sexual assault of a 12-year-old girl took a plea deal Friday allowing him to serve significantly less time.
Savon Dow, 22, faces 5 to 7 years in state prison when he is sentenced in May, according to northjersey.com.
Dow pled guilty Friday to robbery and aggravated sexual assault in two separate incidents. The plea allows Dow to be sentenced to concurrent terms, according to the report.
The sex assault occurred in an Englewood park in Sept. 2013. According to investigators, the girl was assaulted by a man she met in a park. Her attacker dropped her off at Englewood Medical Center after she suffered an asthma attack.
The victim identified Dow as the attacker.
Dow is in the Bergen County Jail on $350,000 bail.
