No immediate reports of injuries
RIDGEFIELD -- A tractor-trailer overturned on its side on the southbound New Jersey Turnpike in Ridgefield, causing lane closures and traffic delays Friday, authorities said.
The truck was apparently hauling sludge and a sand truck was called to a possible spill at the scene, said State Police spokesman Sgt. Jeff Flynn, citing preliminary reports.
There were no immediate reports of any injuries, the spokesman said.
The right lane and shoulder of the Turnpike's western spur were closed as of around 3:20 p.m., according to the state Department of Transportation.
