Winnette Peltz said she hopes to further the malls' relationships with the community.
HACKENSACK -- A new general manager has taken the helm at the Shops at Riverside mall, its owner Simon Property Group announced Wednesday.
Winnette Peltz, a Westchester County, N.Y., resident, takes over for Andrew Morgenroth, who has moved on to another Simon property, Woodbury Common Premium Outlets.
Peltz will oversee a multimillion dollar redevelopment at the mall, undertaken after the departure of Saks Fifth Avenue in 2014, Simon said. Peltz most recently served as area manager the Westchester and the Galleria at White Plains.
Shops at Riverside to undergo overhaul
She's worked for Simon since 2007, when she became mall manager of the Galleria at White Plains.
"I hope to take the great experience I've had working within Simon to build upon the success that the team here has already achieved, and further our relationships with both local businesses and the community," she said in a statement.
As part of the redevelopment, the mall plans to open 25 luxury stores, two restaurants and a 40,000-square-foot movie theater. Saks, which signed a lease at American Dream, left a 110,000-square-foot void at the Hackensack mall.
