ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS - Two motorcyclists from Hudson County have been accused of leading police on a high-speed chase through Englewood Cliffs, authorities said.
Officers in an unmarked patrol car passed a group of motorcyclists speeding against traffic and crossing over double-yellow lines about 10:38 p.m. last Thursday.
When police caught up with the motorcycles at Hudson Terrace and Palisades Avenue, they activated their emergency lights, got out of their vehicle and identified themselves, police said in a news release.
The bikers then fled, according to police.
Arrested after the chase were Alexander F. Lambros, 22, of North Bergen and Kenny Jimenez, 21, of West New York.
Both were charged with eluding and obstruction. They were each held on $27,000 bail.
Other suspects are being sought, police said.
