Salvatore Deangeles allegedly sped away from police in Paramus
HACKENSACK -- The attorney for a motorcyclist whose alleged flight from police led to a fatal crash involving a responding officer and another driver said her client has a history of concussions, The Record reported.
Salvatore Deangelis, 31, sped away from police in Paramus Thursday and crashed in Maywood, prosecutors have said. A responding Hackensack Police Officer crashed into a motorist in Hackensack. The crash killed city resident John Parham, 67.
Dianne D'Alessandro, the attorney for Deangelis, said Monday that his parents planned to post his $50,000 bail and bring him home from Bergen County Jail.

Deangelis was speeding and zigzagging between lanes on a 2016 Yamaha R1 motorcycle on Route 17 northbound when police tried to stop him, Paramus Police Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg said.
Deangelis suffered two broken wrists and is experiencing headaches and back pain, D'Alessandro said. It's not clear whether his history of concussions contributed to his decision to allegedly flee police, she said.
