Jets, Giants name new CEO for MetLife Stadium

Brad Mayne will stay on as a consultant.

EAST RUTHERFORD -- The owners of the New York Giants and New York Jets on Tuesday announced a new president and CEO for MetLife Stadium.

Ron VanDeVeen, previously senior vice president of events and guest experiences, takes over for Brad Mayne.

The appointment was effective as of April 1. Mayne will stay on as a consultant.

VanDeVeen has worked at MetLife Stadium for two decades.

"I have spent my entire career here at the Meadowlands and am honored to lead the team of the best and brightest in the industry," he said. "We will work tirelessly to build upon the stadium's past successes by continuing to host the worldas biggest events on the worldas biggest stage."

Mayne had served as president and CEO since 2012. In a statement, he said he was grateful to the Giants and Jets for the opportunity.

"It's been a phenomenal four years hosting the biggest and best events in the largest market in North America," said Mayne.
