The incident happened Friday night near LongHorn Steakhouse, police said.
ROCHELLE PARK -- A 35-year-old Newark woman eluding Paramus police was brought into custody Friday night after crashing her car on Rt. 17, authorities said.
The woman lost control of her vehicle, crashing into a concrete highway median around 11:06 p.m., said Rochelle Park police Lt. Dean Pinto.
The woman's car came to a stop at a spot off the road near LongHorn Steakhouse in Rochelle Park, when she hit an Acura dealership business sign, Pinto said.
The driver did not hit any other cars and was not injured, he said. She was taken into custody by Paramus police, Pinto said.

Pinto declined to provide further information, saying that the Rochelle Park police had no involvement in the felony pursuit.
The Paramus police chief did not immediately respond to an inquiry seeking more information about the incident, including why the woman was allegedly fleeing police.
