TETERBORO - Two men accused of abandoning a 10-year-old girl at Walmart last year have avoided trial, according to northjersey.com.
The girl's father, Kerry Clark, 55, pleaded guilty Tuesday to neglect and was sentenced to time served. John O'Donnell, 66, entered pre-trial intervention, according to the report.
The men had been charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
Police at the time said O'Donnell dropped Clark off at work and then left the girl at the Teterboro Walmart about 9 a.m. and gave her $10, which she used to buy a Subway sandwich. Police were called to the store about 2 p.m., according to the report.
The men were arrested when they returned to pick up the girl at 4:30 p.m., the report said.
