Isaiah Drakeford, 18, of Ridgefield Park. (Bergen County Prosecutor's Office) RIDGEFIELD PARK -- An 18-year-old man engaged in inappropriate sexual conduct with a girl under the age of 13, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said.
School officials at Ridgefield Park Junior/Senior High School learned Friday about the relationship between Isaiah Drakeford and the girl.
The Ridgefield Park Police Department and county prosecutor's office special victims unit investigated, revealing the sexual conduct between Drakeford and the girl in Ridgefield Park, Grewal said.
Drakeford, a senior and sports star at Ridgefield Park Junior/Senior High School, was charged Monday with aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child. He was sent to Bergen County Jail on $150,000 bail with no option to pay 10 percent cash. He is barred from contacting the girl as a condition of bail.
