Harbor police recover body
FORT LEE -- A man jumped to his death from the George Washington Bridge Thursday, Port Authority police said.
Witnesses reported the man, believed to be in his 30s, plunged from the south walk on the bridge around 10:30 a.m., PAPD spokesman Joe Pentangelo said.
The New York police Harbor Unit recovered the body around 11 a.m., the spokesman said. The man was pronounced dead around 11:30 a.m. at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.
Port Authority police were investigating.
