The state Department of Transportation reported the lane closures on 511nj.org at 7:46 a.m. occurring east of Exit 61 for Route 507/River Road.
The left and center westbound lanes were closed as a result of the crash as well as the left eastbound lanes.
Live traffic cameras showed delays backing up to Exit 59 in Paterson shortly before 8:30 a.m. Motorists should plan an alternate route avoiding the corridor.
