The man was struck Thursday morning near the Main Street station
RAMSEY -- NJ Transit has identified the victim in a fatal train strike Thursday morning as a 27-year-old borough resident.
Thomas L. Ryan died after he was hit shortly before 7 a.m. near a crossing for the Main Street station. None of the 60 passengers and crew aboard the train, which was traveling between Hoboken and Suffern, N.Y., were injured.
The incident remained under investigation, an NJ Transit spokeswoman said Friday afternoon.
