Dean Kaye, 18, of Carlstadt was charged with criminal mischief. The charge has been dropped.
EAST RUTHERFORD - A judge has dismissed a criminal mischief charge against a teenager accused of drawing swastikas in a bathroom at Becton Regional High School, providing the former student enlists in the U.S. Marine Corps.
According to NorthJersey.com, East Rutherford Municipal Court Judge George Savino dismissed the charge against Dean Kaye, 18, of Carlstadt. But the judge told Kaye to send the court a letter proving he had enlisted in the military.
Kaye pleaded not guilty to criminal mischief earlier this year after school officials found two of the Nazi symbols drawn in a restroom. At the time, Kaye was a student at the school, according to the report.
