Ramon J. Contreras (BCPO) PALISADES PARK - A 54-year-old borough man has been arrested and charged with sexually assaulting a child, authorities said Thursday.
Ramon J. Contreras of Highland Avenue was arrested Tuesday after Palisades Park police received a report that the assault had occurred at a home in the borough, according to Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal.
Police notified the prosecutor's office and a joint investigation ensued.
Contreras was charged with one count of sexual assault and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.
He was held on $100,000 full bail.
