RUTHERFORD -- A motorcyclist seriously hurt in a crash Thursday morning lost control has he took the exit from Route 3 west to Route 17 south, police said.
The Lyndhurst man struck a curb, ran off the road and suffered serious injuries, Rutherford Police Capt. Patrick Feliciano said.
The 34-year-old was wearing a helmet that did not comply with U.S. Department of Transportation safety standards, Feliciano said. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The driver was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center.
