Lorenzo and Casey Tripodi were arrested after a search warrant turned up cocaine and heroin in their Lyndhurst, N.J. home, police said.
LYNDHURST - Police arrested a township couple after a search of their home on Monday turned up heroin, drug paraphernalia and a firearm, authorities said.
Lorenzo J. Tripodi, 38, and his wife, Casey C. Tripodi, 34, were the subject of an investigation after police received information the couple sold various drugs from their home on Summit Avenue, according to Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal.
"As a result of that investigation, a search warrant was applied for and authorized regarding the (couple's) residence," Grewal said in a statement.
On Monday, police observed Ilana T. Goldstein, 24, of Rutherford leaving the Summit Avenue home in a vehicle, which officers pulled over a short distance away.
During a subsequent search, police located and seized suspected heroin, Grewal said.
Goldstein was arrested and taken to the Lyndhurst Police Department, where she was charged with possession of less than a half-ounce of heroin and released on her own recognizance.
Police then executed the search warrant on the Tripodi home and discovered heroin, cocaine, drug paraphernalia and firearm, Grewal said.
The Tripodis were arrested during the search.
