GARFIELD -- Two Jersey City men broke into a Harrison Avenue home, sexually assaulted two women living there and stole cash and electronics, authorities said.
Three or four men forced their way into home with handguns Friday night, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said.
They forced two women and a man to the floor and sexually assaulted the women, Molinelli said. The men took cash, cellular telephones and electronics before fleeing in a vehicle.
Police identified the vehicle and interviewed the owner, Xavier Epps, 22, Molinelli said. Further investigation also led to Tymell J. White, 21 and a third suspect who has yet to be located.
As a result of the investigation, Epps and White were arrested and charged with armed robbery, armed burglary, aggravated sexual assault with a weapon, aggravated sexual assault during a burglary, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon. A judge set bail at $500,000 with no option to pay 10 percent.
Epps and White were sent to Bergen County Jail. They're scheduled for an arraignment Wednesday at 4 p.m. before Bergen County Superior Court Judge Guiseppe Randazzo.
