Ryan Bentz, 26, claims the bouncers beat and seriously injured him in 2014.

PARAMUS - A borough man has filed a lawsuit against Miller's Ale House and four bouncers he claims attacked and seriously injured him in the bar two years ago.

Ryan Bentz, 26, claims he was a patron when four men working security for the establishment "struck, beat and assaulted" him, leaving him permanently injured, scarred and unable to work.

The incident occurred Sept. 14, 2014 at the business located at 270 Route 4 West, according to the lawsuit filed in Bergen County Superior Court.

The suit accuses the bouncers of "intentional, reckless and/or negligent actions (to include) striking and touching" Bentz.

Bentz claims Miller's Ale House management was negligent in its hiring and training of security staff.

Representatives for Miller's Ale House in Paramus and the corporate office in Orlando, Fla. could not be reached for comment Tuesday.

According to court documents, Bentz pleaded guilty to third-degree aggravated assault following a 2011 bar fight at the Orange Lantern pub in Paramus.
