Park Ridge's Matt Gray, better known as Matty Ice, scored a memorable touchdown for his team on Friday night.
There was no way Matt Gray wasn't going to reach the endzone on the play.
On Friday night, Gray, a Park Ridge student manager born with down syndrome, jogged out onto the football field right after halftime in a contest between Park Ridge and Wood-Ridge.
According to a report by NorthJersey.com, Gray was content being a manager, but really wanted to see some action, so coach Tommy Curry Jr. and athletic director Chris Brown came up with the idea to get him six.

To start the third quarter, the ball was spotted at the Wood-Ridge 20 and Gray, better known as "Matty Ice" entered the game to a roaring applause.
He took a handoff from quarterback Jack Lepore and ran the distance for the Park Ridge TD, which can be seen in the video posted above at the 2:45 mark.
As soon as he scored, Gray, who also runs cross country, was mauled by teammates and threw his right fist up in the air to celebrate his accomplishment. Moments later, with both hands in the air, he was carried of the field.
Park Ridge (4-1) went on to win the football game 22-20. The touchdown didn't count in the box score, but good luck telling that to Gray and his family. It's something they won't forget.
"Marianne (mother) said that Matt had told her he was confident, because he said the line would clear the way for him, the report said. "Matt’s whole family had come to see his big moment and Marianne just gushed over the way the entire Park Ridge community had rallied around Matt. She said she was so happy they lived there. They were having a big party."
