EAST RUTHERFORD -- A 44-year-old man died Sunday morning after crashing his vehicle on Route 120, police said.
The vehicle appears to have traveled from Route 3 west onto Route 120 north at about 2:33 a.m., East Rutherford Police Chief Larry Minda said.
The driver lost control and the vehicle crashed into a divider and flipped over, Minda said. The driver was the only person in the car.
He was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:12 a.m., Minda said. Police are withholding his name until his family is notified.
A former Paramus Catholic football star died not far on Route 3 east in another crash Oct. 16. Four others were injured in that accident.
