The auto mechanic was arrested after a 9-year-old boy showed to school with multiple injuires.
Jorge Reina-GalloHACKENSACK -- A local auto mechanic was arrested Friday on charges he assaulted a 9-year-old child, officials said.
Jorge Reina-Gallo, 35, was charged with one count of child abuse after a boy arrived at school with injuries to his arm and neck, acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said in a press release.
An investigation was opened by the prosecutor's office and the Hackensack Police Department after they were contacted by the Division of Child Protection and Permanency.
Grewal did not disclose how the Reina-Gallo and the child knew each other.
Reina-Gallo was released on a summons and is scheduled to appear in Bergen County Central Judicial Processing Court on Wednesday morning.
