The Fox News personality had to slash the price of his Edgewater home by nearly $1.5 million since listing it last year.
Good news for Geraldo Rivera: After several sharp price cuts, he has found a buyer for his longtime Edgewater home he initially listed for $3.75 million.
The multi-level 3-bedroom home is the Edgewater Colony, with walls of glass and decks overlooking the Hudson River, a kitchen custom designed to resemble a ship's interior, a koi pond, and one of the few private docks on this stretch of Hudson. Lisa Poggi of Douglas Elliman, who is representing the property, confirmed the house is under contract and is expected to close later this month, although she would not reveal the purchase price.
The price was last trimmed in August, from $2.75 million to $2.3 million. Two other properties owned by Rivera nearby have also been sold off in recent months, she says.
The Fox News personality and his fifth wife Erica, with whom he has one daughter, put the house on the market in 2015, right around the time he picked up an Upper East Side condo for $5.6 million. But the Observer reports that Rivera just put that unit back on the market for $7.2 million after undergoing a major renovation. The 2,500-square-foot New York City home has four bedrooms and grand views of Central Park Reservoir.
It's been a busy week for N.J. celebrity real estate deals. Ice-T and wife Coco finally sold their North Bergen condo at a loss of $700,000. Much like with Rivera, Ice-T and Coco made repeated price cuts before finally finding a buyer for their property.
