RIDGEFIELD PARK -- Ridgefield Park school district knows what it's going to do if a student needs to use marijuana for medicinal purposes.
The board of education voted Wednesday to establish how it would handle administering the substance in compliance with state law, reported NorthJersey.com.
The Allendale School District established its own policy in August and the Lyndhurst School District adopted one in May.
Gov. Chris Christie approved the practice in November 2015 for sick and disabled children.

At Ridgefield Park, a principal must give written approval to the parent in order for him or her to administer marijuana to the student on school property, on a school bus or at a school-sponsored event.
Both the guardian and the student must register with the New Jersey Department of Health.
A female teenager in South Jersey with autism and epilepsy was allowed to consume medical marijuana every day at her school, the Larc School in Bellmawr, which was believed at the time to be the first school in the nation to develop a medical marijuana policy.
