EAST RUTHERFORD -- Earvin "Magic" Johnson came off the bench to score 16 points for the West, but the East All Stars defeated Johnson's team 120-118 in a game played in 1982 at the Meadowlands Arena in East Rutherford.
According to basketballreference.com, the East was led by starters Julius Irving, Larry Bird, Nate "Tiny" Archibald, Isiah Thomas and Artis Gilmore, while the West starters were George Gervin, Gus Williams, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Adrian Dantley and Lonnie Shelton.
