Elmer OAKLAND -- Elmer is a 1-year-old pit bull terrier mix in the care of the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge.
He was surrendered by his owners when they had to move and were unable bring him with them.
Described by volunteers as "a big, strong, goofy puppy," Elmer needs a home with no children younger than 8 and one where he will be kept active.
He has been neutered and is up-to-date on shots.
