Commuters can speak to the committee between 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. or later, if needed.
"Every commuter who attends the hearing and wishes to testify will be heard," said State Senator Robert Gordon, D-Bergen, who is committee chairman.
The Port Authority board of commissioners is scheduled to vote on the revised capital plan on Feb. 17. That plan finances the beginning of design work and construction of a new Port Authority Bus Terminal at $3.5 billion, provides $1.7 billion for extending the PATH rail system to Newark Airport and funds to build an LaGuardia airport Air Train line.
The plan also funds replacing Terminal A at Newark Airport and continues almost $2 billion in work on the George Washington Bridge. The Port Authority holds the first of two hearings from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at 4 World Trade Center in New York.
