Bruce T. Winn faces drug charges after police said they found heroin, PCP and an unconscious man inside his Ford Mustang.
WYCKOFF - A Pennsylvania man was arrested after officers found nine bags of heroin along with PCP and a passed-out passenger inside his car, according to police.
Police said they spotted Bruce T. Winn's Ford Mustang straddling two parking spaces on Everett Avenue about 11:25 p.m. Sunday. One of the tires had been shredded as if it had struck something, police said.
Inside the car, they found a 50-year-old man passed out in the rear set, according to police.
Winn, 49, "also showed signs of being incoherent and was given field sobriety tests," police said in a news release.
Police charged Winn with driving under the influence of narcotics.
The passenger, identified only as a Bronx, N.Y. resident, was taken by ambulance to a local hospital "because of the extent that he was under the influence of alcohol or drugs," police said.
A search of Winn's car following his arrest turned up nine bags of heroin and two bags of vegetation laced with PCP, police said.
In addition to the traffic charge, Winn was charged with possession of heroin, possession of PCP, possession of narcotics in a motor vehicle and received several traffic tickets, police said.
While he was being held in the Wyckoff police jail cell, Winn threatened officers and acted erratically, police said.
"He was then transported to the hospital for observation," police said in the news release.
