PARAMUS -- Chick-fil-A opens Thursday at Garden State Plaza and the chain is giving away a ton of food.
The restaurant will give the first 100 customers a year's supply of free Chick-fil-A meals.
Each of the first 100 adults with identification on line before the restaurant opens at 9 a.m. will receive a digital offer card loaded with a year's worth of meals. Customers can start lining up at 9 p.m. Wednesday night outside the mall food court entrance, and are allowed only a chair and a blanket. Once the mall closes for the night the restaurant will let them in for games, food and access to restrooms.
Only residents of zip codes near the restaurant are eligible. The Chick-fil-A website has the details.

The Garden State Plaza restaurant is Chick-fil-A's second in Paramus and 31st in New Jersey. The other, in Paramus Park, was the chain's first New Jersey location in 1974.
Chick-fil-A is collecting donations of new children's books Thursday and Friday as part of the Garden State Plaza opening. The books will go to Memorial Elementary School in a three-foot-tall "Book House," allowing anyone to take a book after replacing it with one of their own.
The hours for the new Chick-fil-A are 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
