ROCHELLE PARK -- Police shot a Maywood man Monday morning, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said.
The shooting took place at 3:27 a.m. near the ramp from Route 17 northbound to West Passaic Street, Molinelli said. Two officers were involved. Neither was hurt.
Matthew Chaseman, 46, suffered injuries to his lower body, Molinelli said. He's being treated at Hackensack University Medical Center.
Chaseman was shot near his parked car, Molinelli said. A gun or pellet gun remains at the scene.
The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Officer-Involved Shooting Team is investigating.
