RIDGEFIELD PARK -- Village police on Sunday arrested a Ridgefield Park man carrying burglary tools, authorities said.
Workers reported seeing a suspicious man at noon inside a closed, fenced-in construction yard on Industrial Avenue, Ridgefield Park Police said in a press release.
Responding police saw the man running from the yard toward the Hackensack River. Police established a perimeter and found the man, identified as Michael Pelissier, 43, under a construction trailer.
At the time of his arrest, Pelissier had burglary tools and a hypodermic needle, police said. He also had outstanding warrants from several towns.
Pelissier was charged with burglary, possession of burglary tools, resisting arrest, trespassing and possession of a hypodermic needle. He was sent to Bergen County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail.
