Police are asking for the public's help in solving a hit-and-run that killed a Teaneck man on Friday.
TEANECK -- Police are asking for the public's help in solving a hit-and-run that killed a Teaneck man on Friday.
Steven J. Leitgeb, 59, was struck by a vehicle at about 6:47 p.m. Friday while crossing Cedar Lane at Garrison Avenue, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said.
Police found Leitgeb lying in the roadway. He had suffered serious injuries and was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center, where he died.
The vehicle, described as a large, black SUV, went east on Cedar Lane after the collision, Molinelli said. It may have damage to the front passenger bumper, hood and windshield.
