Antwain B. Johnson is charged with sexual assault and a weapons charge, authorities said.
HASBROUCK HEIGHTS - A 26-year-old man was arrested Monday in the sexual assault of a female acquaintance, authorities said.
Antwain B. Johnson of Marlboro Road, Wood-Ridge is a suspect in the assault of the woman at her home in Hasbrouck Heights, according to Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal.
Police received two calls about 5:20 a.m. from the woman's home reporting she had been a victim of a sexual and a physical assault, Grewal said in a statement on Tuesday.
The woman told police Johnson fled the residence in his 2014 black 4-door Nissan Altima.
Police found the vehicle and Johnson about 11:36 a.m. in Orange, near the Montclair border, according to the statement.
A search of the vehicle turned up a loaded, .357-revolver, the prosecutor said.
Johnson was arrested and charged with sexual assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, criminal restraint, aggravated assault and criminal sexual contact. He was held at the Bergen County Jail on $200,000 full bail, records show.
