FORT LEE - A police officer was injured Monday night when he was struck by a car while directing traffic.
Officer Anthony Bozzetti was helping pedestrians cross on Main Street in front of the borough's library and senior center when the accident occurred about 8 p.m., according to northjersey.com.
The vehicle that hit Bozzetti left the scene but was stopped a short distance away. The driver has been cooperative, according to the report.
Bozzetti was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with injuries that are not considered life threatening, according to the report.
