Labeat Cefa, 37, of Ridgewood, was arrested on a marijuana charge and released on a summons, cops said.
RIDGEWOOD - A 37-year-old man was arrested after placing a marijuana cigarette on a screening tray at the metal detector in the village courthouse, police said Monday.
Labeat Cefa of Ridgewood approached village police Lt. Glenn Ender last Thursday during the screening process for entering municipal court.
Cefa placed his wallet and other personal belongings in a tray prior to passing through the courthouse metal detector, police said.
"Among the personal items placed in the tray was a marijuana cigarette," police said in a statement.
Cefa was arrested for possession of marijuana and released on a summons to appear in court, police said.
