Joel T. Schwartz, 25, is charged with possession with the intent to distribute marijuana, authorities said.
RIDGEWOOD - Police arrested a 25-year-old restaurant worker after seizing a half-pound of marijuana and more than $13,000 in cash from his home, authorities said Wednesday.
Joel T. Schwartz of Hunter Road, was arrested Tuesday after investigators executed a search warrant at his residence, according to Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal.
In addition to marijuana, investigators seized $13,518 cash, the prosecutor said.
Schwartz was arrested without incident, Grewal said.
During January, law enforcement observed Schwartz selling marijuana out of his home, which prompted the investigation, the prosecutor said.
"As a result of those observations, a search warrant was (obtained)," Grewal said.
Schwartz was charged with possession with the intent to distribute marijuana.
He was released on his own recognizance pending a court date.
