Mahwah police also reported a high school bomb threat via social media.
In Waldwick, officials said students were in a "shelter in place" as officials investigated the credibility of a threat to the middle and high schools.
The Bergen County Sheriff's Office bomb squad had been dispatched to several schools Friday morning, confirmed Sheriff's spokesman Anthony Cureton.
By late morning, most of the schools had completed their investigations and announced the threats were not credible.
Several weeks ago, bomb threats were sent to several schools across the country, including more than two dozen in New Jersey.
