Police release photos of man wanted in holdup
TEANECK -- Police on Friday released security camera images of a masked man they said is wanted for robbing a Teaneck Road convenience store at gunpoint.
The holdup occurred Feb. 27 around 11 p.m. when the robber entered the 7-Eleven and hopped the counter while armed with a "large handgun," according to township police Chief Robert Carney.
"The suspect held the gun to the cashier's head and demanded that he open the cash drawer," Carney said in a statement.

The cashier and another employee were too frightened to remember how to open the cash drawer, leading the gunman to rip it from the register, the chief added.
Authorities said the robber ran out with the cash drawer. The investigation was ongoing and anyone with information was urged to call police at 201-837-2600.
Anonymous tips can be reported to Tri Community Crime Stoppers at 201-833-4222, police said. The organization offers up to $1,000 in rewards for information leading to arrests.
