A Lyndhurst man has been charged with breaking into his ex-girlfriends Harrison home after sending her message threatening to kill himself and posting revealing images of her online, as well as sending her images of a noose.
JERSEY CITY -- A Lyndhurst man has been charged with breaking into his ex-girlfriend's Harrison home after threatening to kill himself and posting revealing images of her online.
The 31-year-old is charged with burglarizing the woman's home on May 10 by "entering through an unlocked door, knocking on her locked bedroom door and awakening her at 2 a.m. in an attempt to resolve relationship issues," the criminal complaint states.
He is also charged with harassing the woman by repeatedly calling and texting her messages threatening to kill himself, sending revealing pictures of her to her family and posting them on the internet, according to the complaint.
Finally, he is charged with sending her pictures of a "homemade noose," the complaint states.
The ex-boyfriend made his first court appearance on the charges in Central Judicial Processing court in Jersey City on Friday via video link from Hudson County jail in Kearny.
At the hearing, it was noted that he had expressed suicidal ideas and the judge ordered he receive medical attention at the jail.
The defendant's name was withheld from this report to protect the identity of his ex-girlfriend.
