EAST RUTHERFORD -- An investigation into a fatal accident has closed two lanes of Route 3 westbound near Route 120, authorities said.
The crash was reported at about 5:45 a.m.
It took place just east of Route 120, 511nj.org said. The two right-most lanes were closed, causing delays of up to 20 minutes as of 7:40 a.m.
East Rutherford Police Lt. Paul Cece confirmed that a man had died, but said other details were unavailable and that the incident was still under investigation.
The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office was also investigating.
