Victim was held down as he was struck, he told investigators
FORT LEE -- A 48-year-old man has been charged with aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child after he allegedly held a boy down and beat him last week, Bergen County Prosecutor John Molinelli said in a statement Monday.
Police were sent to the Linwood Avenue apartment of Jordan Miller Friday after a 911 call was placed from the home. The call ended before the caller provided any information, Molinelli said.
The victim, whose age was not released, was found at the scene with bruises on his face and neck. The boy told investigators Miller had pinned him to the floor and struck him repeatedly, Molinelli said. The investigation was conducted by Fort Lee police and the prosecutor's Special Victims Unit.
Miller, who was being held at the Bergen County Jail on $50,000 bail, is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 10.
