Olga Rodriguez was arrested after cops said a victim was being pressured to take back allegations.
HACKENSACK - A woman from the Bronx has been charged with witness tampering for allegedly coercing a sex-crime victim to recant her statement to police, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.
Olga Rodriguez, 32, was arrested Tuesday after Fairview police said they learned a victim in a recent sexual assault case was being pressured to take back allegations in another case.
Those allegations led to an arrest of another suspect for aggravated criminal sexual contact, according to Acting Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal.
The prosecutor did not disclose the name of the suspect in the original case.
Bail was set at $5,000 and Rodriguez was scheduled for a first court appearance at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 31, according to the prosecutor's office.
