A bizarre kidnapping in Lyndhurst where a victim's head and body hair were shaved topped the list of recently reported Bergen County crimes.

Identity theft, squatting and a bizarre kidnapping and body shaving incident topped Bergen County crime news in late 2015.

Twenty people were charged in connection with an elaborate identity theft ring that victimized small business owners in Bergen County, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.

In Lyndhurst, four people were arrested and accused of kidnapping a man who was later beaten, burned and had his body hair shaved, according to police.

In Englewood, five men were accused of illegally squatting inside a deployed U.S. soldiers home. There was evidence of partying inside the home, which was left in deplorable conditions. One of the alleged squatters has also been accused of robbery.
