If you're planning to be at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, bundle up. Winter is back.

Say goodbye to all that spring-like warmth we felt through most of the football season. Winter is back, and so is the cold weather.

KICKOFF WEATHER OUTLOOK

Fans at MetLife Stadium for Sunday's matchup between the Giants and the Eagles will see mostly sunny skies throughout the afternoon, but temperatures will be hovering around 43 degrees at kickoff time at 1 p.m., then dropping to 41 by the end of the game, according to AccuWeather. With a steady breeze of 10 to 12 mph, the wind chill will make it feel like it's in the mid- to upper 30s.

TAILGATE ALERT

If you're planning to get to the stadium early for some pre-game festivities, be prepared for a very cold morning in East Rutherford, with temperatures ranging from 33 degrees at 9 a.m. to 42 at noon, with the wind making it feel a lot colder. (mid-20s to mid-30s)

WHAT TO WEAR

Best bet for a cold winter day of football: Dress in several layers, starting with a long-sleeved thermal shirt, flannel shirt or sweater, topped with a hooded sweatshirt and a winter jacket. Strongly recommended accessories: Thick socks, insulated gloves, and wool hats or headbands.

PLUS: Complete coverage of the Giants | Complete coverage of the Eagles

BLANKET POLICY
