RIDGEWOOD -- Jane Clementi urged more than 600 people gathered in West Side Presbyterian Church Sunday to take up the fight against cyber-bullying.

"Speak up and reach out when you see someone being harassed and humiliated," Clementi said during a concert honoring her son, Tyler, the Rutgers University student who took his own life after being bullied in 2010.

According to The Record, Jane Clementi spoke to the crowd gathered at the church to hear a performance of "Tyler's Suite Tour," a nine-piece choral movement dedicated to the 18-year-old's memory.

"I hope that this music will resonate deep in you and stir you into action," Jane Clementi said, according to the report.

The Ramapo College Chorale and the Ridgewood High School choirs, about 200 singers in total, presented the New Jersey premiere of "Tyler's Suite," a two-hour performance, according to the report.

The event raised more than $7,000 for the Tyler Clementi Foundation, which seeks to end online bullying in schools, workplaces and churches.
