HACKENSACK -- City police on Saturday charged a 20-year-old man with drunken driving after he allegedly crashed with another vehicle and led police on a chase that ended in another crash, The Record reported.
Vijay Persaud smelled of alcohol and marijuana when police arrested him on Passaic Street, Hackensack Police Capt. Timothy Lloyd said.
There were no serious injuries, Lloyd said. Persaud allegedly struck signs, the fence of a church, a van and a bus before stopping when he crashed into a utility pole.
